Cadwell, a beautiful race circuit set in rolling countryside, in the county of Lincolnshire, saw the second appearance of the MGF, and the race debut of the MG RV8. Raced under the banner of "Team Cowley" the RV8 along with the MGF looked immpresive in Red, with a white hardtop. Looking like Works" cars, but not officially racing for MG, both teams have had plenty of support from the factory, so I suppose they almost qualify !

Gary Townsend made storming start and was not to lose his first place, but, it was a different story behind him. A trio of Metro's driven by Tony Howe, Dennis Robinson and Andrew Talbot were having a ding dong of a battle, although Robinson was judged to have made a jump start and lost his third spot with a penalty. The MGF was not too far behind, but Kettleborough found the unfamiliar circuit tough going (should have done some testing Don !).
