BARC/MGOC Snetterton
(11 round)

Class A

. In the race to the first corner it was an MGB driven by Roy Clarkson, that took the lead.
It's a relatively short straight into the first corner at Snetterton and there is always a little bit of 'rubbing'. Now, "rubbin is racin" and today was no exception ! Right beside, or, perhaps ? just behind Clarkon, were Matthew Read & Nigel Woolcott. The latter fighting as hard as ever. The battle for third and fourth was also interesting with the very talented Terry Farman driving a Midget, testing all his driving skills, to the limit ! But Read resisted the challenge, fighting Farman off, and then, overhauling the leader into the bargain, on lap four !.
Roy Clarkson who had started so well slowed to finnish in sixth spot. Across the line in second, third, and fourth were: Woolcott, Mick Mercer and Terry Farman repectively.

Class B

. If you thought there was lot of pushing and shoving in the first MG race then wait until the MG Maestro's come on stage ! All I can say it's a good job they are all friends, well most of them anyway. The Maestro's always race hard and give good value for money ! Once more the Snetterton circuit produced a race full of drama. The biggest drama being the "exit stage left" of Darryl Davis, always one to grab the attention of an enthusiastic crowd, he had a high speed blowout, thankfully bringing the car to a stop safely. This allowed Ian Evans back into lead, then we had some more 'rubbin' and Fergus Campbell squeezed by Colin Simpson on the final lap.
