From The Motorsport Newsdesk:
I have recently been contacted by Stefan Winquist, from Denmark.
He has sent us some pictures of his cars, a Sprite and a Midget. Stefan is currently constructing a home page, but here in the meantime are the pictures along with a short summary of himself and the his cars.

Midget
The Winquist Midget !

Hello from Denmark
My name is as you know Stefan Winquist living in the small country called Denmark, placed right beside Sweden. I am the lucky owner of 2 Spridget's one 65' Midget and one ? Sprite, the Sprite was bought in UK last year as an unfinished project. It was a rolling shell (heritage) and was ready to spend some £££'s on.

SPRITE
Stefans Fine Sprite

I work at a computer store in Central Copenhagen, and after work I go for the garage. I have raced the Sprite this year, but it was too heavy to be number one, so the Midget is under restoration and will be used as a original race car to RAC Homolegation. I really hope it will be ready for the next seson. As a side job, I'm the chairman of the MG Car Club Danish Centre West (Well the sport register ) and use a lot of time, arranging tours to UK, Races, Hi-speed trials and so one......

The picture above is from the Ganlose Hill Climb earlier this year. Not just MG, but lots of different cars. It was an excelent event, the weather was good, and I finished second in my class with the green Sprite.

The Winquist Specifications

The Sprite runs on a brand new Heritage shell as you see, it has the round wheel arches so a couple of 14 inch minilite replicas looks nice. The engine is a 1312 cc with Omega pistons and balanced connecting rods. The cam is a Kent 286 hot road/rally with a 1.5 Hi-Lift roller rocker set on. The main thing is the head, it's a Longmann GT7 head, fully flow tested with 36 x 31valves and mid hard valve springs. I have an ajustable duplex chain in front, which is retarded 2 degrees for more end power, a long inlet manifold and a 45mm Weber is feeding the monster through a huge K&N filter.

The Midget is in the middle of a huge restoration of the original shell. The picture above is take after my first race in Denmark (Jutland) summer 95' and it was a very fun weekend with lots of learning such as:
1.. remember to put in some fuel in before racing,
2..check your tire pressure and so on, "Good Fun" all of it !
The main difference between my AH and my Midget is the 5 speed gearbox which is mounted in the MG, this is a wonderful modification, never more thinking on the week gearbox from BMC, you should try it!
Both of the them have suffered in their life to a fast car lover, they have been uprated in all ways: engine, brakes, steering.... and so on.
I just love to race them !
