AN INVITATION TO JOIN

The NORTH AMERICAN MGB REGISTER was formed in late 1990 as the result of a strong demand for a non-profit, democratic organization which would be run by MG enthusiasts, for MG enthusiasts, wherein:

At the foundation meeting, attended by enthusiasts from three continents, it was agreed that the MG MIDGETs and the MG 1100/1300s would be welcomed into the MGB REGISTER and would be actively supported by their own sub-registers. Recently, post 1980 MGs like the RV8 and MGF have been welcomed as well.

NAMGBR also sought and gained the approval and support of the MG Car Club of England .. the original and oldest of all MG clubs. Consequently NAMGBR is the only national MGB organization in the United States, Mexico and Canada officially sanctioned by the MG CAR CLUB. NAMGBR is also affiliated with the MG Owners Club of England.

The NORTH AMERICAN MGB REGISTER is also proud and privileged to count among our honorary members .. DON HAYTER, who participated in styling the MGB .. KEN COSTELLO, father of the MGB V8 .. and GEOFF ALLEN, who spent most of his career working at Abingdon.

Our Founding Chairman, JOHN H. TWIST is renowned throughout the world for his MG technical expertise and his life-long dedication to the MG marque.

SO WHAT DO YOU GET FOR YOUR MEMBERSHIP ??

The "MGB Driver" .. a bimonthly, handy size, 60 page magazine, packed with NAMGBR news, topics, technical hints and tips, photos and articles on the history and development of our beloved MGs, member's letters, "Where to B" -a calendar of coming events, for sale and wanted ads, and much more. NAMGBR offers Local, Regional and National meets where you can join and socialize with like-minded MG enthusiasts. There are currently more than 50 local affiliated chapters in many metropolitan areas. We invite you to "B-long" and "B-there" at these "B-ins"!

Each member receives a unique NAMGBR blue and gold dash plaque inscribed with your personal membership number which you can affix to your MGB. In addition, you receive a colorful NAMGBR windscreen decal.

Annually the NAMGBR publishes their glove box size "Membership and Service Recommendations List" which contains the names and addresses of all available members as well as those shops recommended by the membership. This has already proven invaluable to several members who encountered technical difficulties while traveling out of town.

NAMGBR offers a superb range of high quality Regalia and Apparel including caps, T-shirts, sweaters, jerseys etc. each bearing the colorful NAMGBR logo. NAMGBR also offers a range of other products such as Grille Badges, logo patches etc. Details about which are contained in your membership packet and updated periodically in the "MGB Driver"

NAMGBR maintains Coordinators for all Registers activities as well as Registrars for all the various models of MGB from the early pull handles to the last Limited Editions, as well as Midgets and 11/1300s. Just the kind of expertise you will need to answer your questions about your beloved MGB.
